Our History

McGrady-Perdue Heating and Cooling Inc. has been in business for 10 years in the New River Valley.

Owners Kevin McGrady and Mike Perdue began working in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air
Conditioning) in the late 80's.  They first met at a local company where they worked as installers of
heating and cooling systems.  When the opportunity to learn service arose, Mike and Kevin left the
company and started training.  After working in service for a couple of years, the company they
worked for went out of business.

This was a turning point for each of them.  They decided to team up and start their own business.
Working out of Kevin's grandfather's garage, they started installing residential systems.  They soon
added two employees and the business began to grow.

In 2004 they purchased the building located at 690 North Franklin Street in Christiansburg, Virginia.
They currently have more than 20 employees, provide heating and cooling systems for over 20
contractors, and have a long list of satisfied residential customers.  They install systems in existing
houses, new houses, commercial buildings, and have a full service department on call 24 hours a day,
365 days a year.

McGrady-Perdue  won the 2008 Trane "Top Gun" award in Richmond, Virginia for companies showing
greater than 20% growth over the last year, impressive during a time of recession for the HVAC
industry.
